Lia Elnatan

My family has immigrated to Israel from the Soviet Union, Dushanbe, the capital city of Tajikistan, when I was just five years old. I grew up in a small town near Jerusalem. After finishing school, I served in the Israeli Defense Forces for two years, as a network control supervisor. After a short encounter with a fashion designer at the age of 10, I have dreamed about pursuing a career in fashion and design. Jewelry making, sewing, painting and ballroom dancing have been my interests for long time. The passion became a reality, and today I am a graduate of BA Design degree from the Jewelry Design department at the prestigious College of Engineering and Design – Shenkar.

Inspiration

My inspiration derives from architectural structures, art, sculptures, childhood games such as Tetris, Lego, “Dave”, stairs. I create modern geometrical jewelry that enhances our daily fashion style and gives a feeling of chicness, elegance and uniqueness. The main theme of my designs is the relations and connections between different forms and structures. The materials I use are silver, gold-plated brass, silicon, Swarovski stones. I am constantly striving to push my creative boundaries and to extend my visual vocabulary by combining classical methods and contemporary techniques. I love experimenting with different materials and expressing my thoughts and experiences through my work. Welcome to my world, where everything is possible.
